Course Outline
The Competitive Manufacturing qualification is available in 3 levels:
- Qualification level
- Certificiate III in Competitive Manufacturing
- Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing
- Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing
- Most suited to
- Operators
- Supervisors and Team Leaders
- Managers and Lean Practitioners
Employees who have completed the qualification will be able to effectively:
- identify non-essential business activities and improve workflow
- lead or operate in functional Lean thinking teams
- drive team-based improvement projects
Course Structure
The course is structured into a number of separate 'units of competency' and to attain the Competitive Manufacturing qualification, participants must sucessfully complete a prescribed number of units.
The course requirements vary, depending on the level of the qualification undertaken:
- Qualification Level
- Certificate III in Competitive Manufacturing
- Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing
- Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing
- Course Requirement
- 8 units of competency
- 10 units of competency
- Certificate IV plus 10 additional units
All Qualification levels require 3 core units and at least 2 tools units, however the remaining units can be selected from the training package to suit your business needs.
Our Mentors will consult with you and tailor unit selections to suit your needs, with a strong focus on Lean Implementation and the tools and techniques needed to support Lean business management systems.
